Valerie is the proud founder of Prana Physiotherapy & Health and has a strong vision to empower patients, particularly those who struggle with chronic and complex conditions. She strives to provide a warm, professional and high quality practice for both patients and her team of physiotherapists to evolve their profession according to the literature and working closely with other specialist medical professionals.

 

With over 10 years of experience, Valerie has developed a special interest in complex musculoskeletal conditions, including neck, shoulder and back pain, pre-and post-surgery, headaches, tinnitus, facial pain and TMJ complaints. 

 

Valerie graduated from the University of Sydney with a Master of Physiotherapy. She has a Bachelor of Exercise Physiology from the University of New South Wales. Valerie has worked in both hospital and private practice, treating a range of conditions including sports and workplace injuries. 

Valerie is a Credentialled McKenzie Therapist with the McKenzie Institute International and has a Diploma in Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy. She held a director position on the McKenzie Institute Australia and participates in research programs with affiliated Universities.

Valerie is trained in advanced dry needling, Clinical Pilates and the development of exercise programs to support rehabilitation and return into work, sport or leisure activities.

 

When Valerie isn’t in the clinic you can usually find her spending time with friends & family, at the beach or playing with her whippet Winnie.
