Shaun is a compassionate and enthusiastic physiotherapist who prides himself on utilising a holistic approach with his patients. He has a strong passion for working with people to discover realistic solutions to their problems.
Shaun attained a Bachelors of Exercise Physiology at University of NSW and then went on to graduate from the Doctor of Physiotherapy (DPT) program at Macquarie University. He spent two years working with an international soccer academy in Southwest Sydney, who had ties with West Ham United in the United Kingdom. His speciality was lower limb rehabilitation and injury prevention and youth skill and conditioning coaching.
His passion for a rational approach to physiotherapy has seen Shaun work through the McKenzie Method. He has developed this to effectively treat necks, backs and both the upper and lower limbs in a simple way that aims to empower patients to take control of their symptoms on the road to recovery. He also enjoys exploring current evidence and research with patients so that they can remain informed on best evidence-based practice and their options for care.
Shaun is undertaking further study in headaches, migraines and TMJ disorders to widen his skillset in aiding people who experience these issues. He continues to be involved with research around lower back pain, in particular as a clinician involved in the Macquarie University WalkBack Trial examining an affordable, equitable and graded walking approach to manage pain.
